Audacity - is a free audio editor that I use often. The software can be used over the internet on a mac or PC. Simply inputting your audio and easily editable. You can raise the audio, import other audio within the same file and make cuts easily exportable to familiar formats. I have used audacity to create quick clips for interviews to pull into videos. Internet Video Convertor- Another wonderful piece of software to transcode video, photos and audio created on multimedia devices such as phones or small flash camcorders that save the files in proprietary formats. These proprietary media creators will never keep up with Web 2.0 tools. A simple Google search for the task needed results in a newly created script, widget or other Web 2.0 tool. I test and show them how to use it. Multimedia use has never been so fun to discover new problems to be solved. I’m a kid in a candy store.
These tools allow us to complete our tasks and thoughts so much faster allowing us to move further in our problem solving instead of getting stuck on the problem solving of each task, we can create further and further. Just imagine if Einstein had simple tools to build from as we do today.
