iMovie allows advanced pre-organization (storyboarding within software)

You can choose anywhere you want to write a short comment. I would use this to note a beginning of a spot I want to use and the end or even which order. Currently I request a storyboard written down to the frame when the edit may be done and use a fresh piece of paper and a pen to note long lists of needed edits.
Marking audio clips
I am in charge of creating all of the graduation classes for the school. This year I created 17 videos with 30 or so duplicates created for each final DVD. I scanned about 20 images per student, pulled them into Final Cut Pro added music with simple cross dissolve transition. It took hours to match the audio to the video. Final Cut Pro does have a “mark” tool, but I don’t have anything for audio. Next year I have a secret in order to get it done quicker.
Key Words in Event Library
During my video editing professional development and training coworkers, I taught everyone to storyboard using very detailed timeline driven editing style. In my other software there is no chance to make notes for the video editing other than changing the video file names or creating folders. iMovie has these same organizing tasks and more.
I will probably still create storyboards for editing and wait for Final Cut Pro to catch up in this organization since a lot of the advanced items from iMovie will not transfer to Final Cut Pro.
